Soben, a quantity surveying and commercial management consultancy, expands its operation into the United States.

With the newly hired North American SEO at the helm, who will be leading a team of 11 consultants catering to clients in the USA, Mexico and Chile, the company’s headquarters will be located in Chicago, IL.

Some of the most prominent and specialized construction solutions provided by the company are cost management, estimating, commercial management, project control and bills of quantities. All the solutions mentioned, help industry leading companies locat cost and time saving efficiencies, while proactively managing risk and investment in construction.

The expansion is supported by The Scottish Development International (SDI) through grant funding received via its international manager for Hire Programme.

We’re thrilled to have him at the helm of our expanding North American operation as we celebrate ten years in business.”

Very high profile projects, like the Vauxhall’s One Nine Elms and Aykon Tower, Euston Station and High Speed 2 has already been handled by Soben’s 90-persons UK team, as well as some confidential clients in the UK, Denmark, Ireland, The Netherlands and Spain.

Developer clients in the mission-critical, data centre, infrastructure, life sciences, and renewable energy sectors, is what the US team is going to focus on.

Soben’s recent expansion of operations has occurred as a result of securing a leading client at the West Coast data centre developer.

Joe Cusick previously was working as the Director at Linesight, professional services consultancy that focused on the global construction industry. At Linesight, he led the project controls delivery of a $2 billion data centre programme. Before joining Linesight he held different strategic roles at Curries & Brown and Faithful+Gould.
